Art Lecture: Australian Women Artists from the Stoneman Collection.

With Peter Perry

Stuart Stoneman collected works of art that he enjoyed for their own sake, rather than for any investment possibility. He collected works created by women artists before they became well-known.

Stuart Stoneman’s art advisor Peter Perry (previous Director of Castlemaine Art Gallery) provides a glimpse into the art of A M E Bale, Ola Cohn, Carrick Fox, Bessie Davidson, J. Cumbrae-Stewart, Dora Meeson, J Muntz-Adams and Ellis Rowan.

An interesting session for lovers of art and Australian history.
