Spring Garden Tour

Respected local gardeners will lead you on a guided tour of the spectacular Duniera heritage garden c. 1872. These one-hour tours are highly entertaining as well as informative; a treat with leading local experts in the field.

Tours start at the front of the house. Bring sensible walking shoes and an umbrella (and check the weather report). Parking available behind homestead.

Total Fire Ban or Dangerous Weather

In the event of a Total Fire Ban day or dangerous weather warning, Duneira will be closed to the public and money for bookings of events refunded or the event moved to another day. It is the patron’s responsibility to check weather reports leading up to the event and make alternative arrangements.

Attention all 1–6 year olds!

Put on your fairy/elfin costumes and join in on the Fairy Show! Go on a madcap journey to find the fairy dust that the naughty gnomes have stolen. Clues have been left out and riddles must be solved before anyone gets to make a wish!

With a wonderful mix of family friendly comedy and acrobatics, The Fairy Show is designed for 1–6 year olds. Join these wonderful performers whose careers include working with Cirque du Soleil, Circus Oz and more in a performance that involves comedy, slapstick, acrobatics and singing.

Stay on for the Christmas Carols and get a $10 discount on the family ticket price (available only at the time of booking). Picnics welcome!

In the event of a total fire ban the performance will be rescheduled for Sunday 18 Dec at 11am.

Local treasure Athol is a member of the Seekers with whom he played double bass and sang with. He has also had a career as a compere, had a TV show on Channel 7 called A Guy Called Athol and has also had a career in state politics and is heavily involved in his local community.

This friendly conversation hour begins as an interview with Duneira’s Director Jacky Ogeil and then draws the audience in to the discussion. We invite you to join us for a most interesting conversation about Athol’s life and work.

Christmas Carols in the Garden

Ensemble Gombert

Bring a picnic and lounge on our glamorous southern lawns to hear the classiest a-cappella Christmas carols around! Set on the southern lawn Ensemble Gombert present popular traditional carols in multipart harmony, peppered with some exotic international settings. Our family ticket means unlimited children can attend.

(In extreme weather conditions or rain, the concert will be held at St Ambrose Catholic Church in Woodend).
